But I agree that this is an insult to every woman who flyfishes and fathers of daughters who flyfish. Even Ben warned about not letting kids watch his latest offering on Monday.

Winston must be doing something right considering Orvis decided to knock off their cosmetics on the H4 Tom Rosenbauer special. However unlike most cheap knockoffs, this one is 500$ more expensive for an inferior fly rod.

I'm glad that Huge Fly Fisherman told why I am supposed to upset at Winston and this woman because if I stumbled on the video without his pontificating I would have sailed past my head...

You’re you’re as deep in the layers of the onion as needed - the very reasons why I posted this - and why I quit the businesses of charity work, retailing, wholesale sales, guiding, fly tying “pro” teams, sales rep, casting instructor, consultant, YouTube channel meister etc. etc. - but after 40 years of it, there is nothing new under the sun (just rebranding) and I just want to fish for myself - not for thousands of “likers” on my feed - or slamming the spot burners for “my” stretch of river - try doing what you love for a living and see how much you love it afterwards - a “famous” guy you’ve never heard of 🤣

The deeper problem is that anyone at all can be a flyfishing “influencer”. Everybody is engaged in some hustle or angle to pimp out a sport that at its heart thrives on solitude. So whether we eagerly await the next YouTube video of some Virginian jackass euronymphing one of the finest dry fly fisheries in the lower 48 during prime hopper season, listen to the 5th wetflyswing/ destination angler Upper Delaware rehash this year put out by the same guide that will be mean mugging me come May for “crowding him” from 200 yards upriver, slapping somebody’s sticker on our truck that is just as clueless as we are when they ain’t biting, or diving into the latest greatest book about the same stuff Humphreys stole from Harvey who probably stole it from GEM Skues, we’re all contributing to the same problem.
The best way to kill “content” is not to engage with it at all. All huge fly fisherman did was drive this OF model’s viewership numbers up even further. I’d be absolutely flattered if somebody took the time to make an entire video talking s**t on me. If you need me I’ll be on the river, actually fishing, and not videotaping, podcasting or blogging about it 😂.

also, she looks like a stripper i used to know. purely coincidental, that was a long time ago and said stripper is probably either a grandmother or dead by now.

So, I should be upset because a fly rod company sent an OF girl some hats, shirts and sunglasses? I dunno, I think The HUGE fly fisherman made it worse by making a video of it. Who follows this woman other then simps? No one would have even known about it if he didn't blow it up.

I have a daughter who I hope fishes when she gets old enough, and I don't feel slighted at all for her future fly fishing pro status.
Winston will still get my money, because they build some of the finest rods and I enjoy casting them.

Who cares How a company markets their products? Huge is a butt hole and I’m never watching his videos ever again. So he’s complaining about him not getting free bling. First, fly fishing is not a sport, it’s not a higher calling, it just a hobby. It’s just fishing so he, and many others need, to get over themselves when they talk about their life’s calling being circumvented by an upstart.
He then makes this massive jump that because this girl is a social influencer, Winston has sullied the grandiosity of the “sport” by introducing “T&A.” He then ponders how long it will be before she introduces oral sex, sex, and details about her anatomy into his greater calling. I don’t know who this girl is but I saw nothing in the video to suggest this about her. So he must infer this about all women he is threatened by. What a pig! What a piece of poop. I like how he try’s to soften his remarks by mentioning other women who spent a lifetime advancing the “sport”. Isn’t this exactly what this girl is doing and doing well? Hadn’t the “sport” been advanced with the addition of this girl. So he’s upset that this girl has already shattered his social media numbers. He’s upset because he wants the fame and money but some young girl got it.
How can anybody be mad at Winston for this? People should be mad at Huge for being the jerk that he is. After watching the video I thought this was an anti-Huge post not an anti-Winston post. Unbelievable that anybody would in anyway agree with what the Huge jerk said in this video. As the father of two wildly successful daughters in the male dominated finance world, I would clean Huge’s clock if he spoke of their successes in this manner.
