Saw that earlier today. Not good, and prob doesn't bode well for urban streams in the future.

Was in the Inquirer today as well

Contaminated fish prompts ‘do not eat’ advisory for Wissahickon and cancellation of Philly trout stocking

Some officials fear that as more waterways get tested there will be more advisories and trout stocking cancellations.

I am with @Clams and assuming they will begin testing all urban cricks for this. Penny is next. Then the Lehigh Valley.

That’s a real bummer, especially since it’s my home stream. I believe this is the same reason why stocking stopped on Neshaminy Creek, and that still hasn’t resumed, as far as I know.

Losing the Wiss would be a shame, since it’s one of a few stocked streams near the Philadelphia area. And a stream where there are no wild trout for the stocked fish to outcompete.
