Seems like just something to get everyone wound up about. For no reason.
Income stream, like what you did there.Just wait until private equity gets in on this game. I completely agree about hating the privatization of natural resources. Not everything needs to be monetized and turned into an income stream.
it was approved at the end of August. these things take time.View attachment 1641254511![]()
Pennsylvania Awarded $2.8 Million USDA Grant to Expand Fishing Access on Private Lands | Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership
The Farm Bill-funded Voluntary Public Access and Habitat Incentive Program (VPA-HIP) provides critical funding for state and tribal governments to increase public access opportunities for hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation on private lands.www.trcp.org
Pennsylvania
Organization: Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission
Amount: $2,797,720
The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission will create and enhance public access for fishing and boating, as well as other types of outdoor recreation, by offering financial incentives to owners of privately held lands to make their lands available to the public.
Anyone know where this money went or is going?
I understand.it was approved at the end of August. these things take time.
Typical state beaucratic responseit was approved at the end of August. these things take time.
Really? Deals w/ landowners can take months and, yes, years to negotiate even for what might be something seemingly at first glance as “simple” as a land exchange along a stream.Typical state beaucratic response
Looks like a Cuban yo yo to meDaiwa marketed “long cast” spools back in the ‘80’s - so I’m applying it to a “new” method 😬
I only pay that kind of money if I'm going to be gone over 48 hours on a charter to fill the freezer. No we don't.
Use the Tidelands Access format used in western coastal states? If the state owns the water and is entrusted with the protection of that water, and buffer zones are vital to that protection, maybe they should be included as part of the water. Just a thought. I've seen people lose more than a strip of land for new buildings that protect nothing.
I understand.
Im asking if anyone has heard anything about where they are considering.
Uhmm, No.Let me offer this as an example.Im not entirely sure thats possible in a lot of areas in Pennsylvania. High water mark in Montana could mean you are 5 miles away from the landowners house. In Pennsylvania that could mean you have a right to sit at the picnic table of a homeowner during a family event.
Dear Bamboozle,Still waiting for any responses on the question I posed on Page 5 #81:
Just wonder how many of the advocates of the State "taking streams & buffer zones and making them public" own or live on property with a stream or a lake that is fed by a stream??And if 'ya own any, is your property open to anyone to fish without restriction like it would be if the State seized it?If not, why not?
