It’s BS. They are going to say “heys it’s free, anyone can sign up for a pass” and the PFBC is going to say it’s ok. Like hell im going to sign up to get access to their property. I’m glad that YBAC, TCO, and Precision have all said no to this and have decided to not be associated with them. It’s their property and they can do what they want with it, but taking advantage of public stockings and then limiting access is not right. If they just limited parking at the resort, I’d be fine with that, but they are closing the whole stretch to non permit holders.
Let’s see a private citizen do this, the PFBC would try to find out if they could take the fish back on top of stop stocking.
Only a matter of time that it becomes a pay to fish stretch.
I’m thinking of starting a secretive “Night Fishing At Allenberry” event and every few weeks have a group of anglers descend on them with no passes. Also, if the PFBC changes it from a catch and release because of this, I may actually start keeping on a stringer while I’m there so Allenberry snobs can’t get them later.
