Probably my favorite fly. Variations in this format covers everything IMO. I’ll switch the head out to wool or I will throw a zonker in there if I want some bulk. Heavy eyes, or not. Then the colors.. I love it!

This is a very affective Gaspe pattern that was originally made for fishing the Dartmouth River. Andre Belaieff invented it. Andre lived in the town of Gaspe for a time, were he ran a small fly shop. He has since left Gaspe but still fishes, guides and teaches on the Gaspe.
