I finally put the bonefish flies away and started planning for spring myself.....lots of holes that need refilled!
I tie 3 slightly different variations of baetis nymphs.
This is one of them.
Quick tie but a lot of detail in that little sucker.
#18 2xl nymph hook, but the pic make it look like a #4 stonefly 😂

Use any standard #18 1x or 2xl nymph hook of your choice. I tie both.
Legs and tail are wood duck flank
After you tie in the tails, build a slight taper to just past where the wing case is tied in so the vinyl follows suit.
Wingcase is treated Canada goose quill.
The 18/0 nano silk thread is what makes this pattern easy. You could get away with 12/0 as well but good luck with 8/0 LOL 😉
