What Are You Tying Today? 2026

A quick couple #16 frenchies at a tying social that ended much more focused on giving guidance to new anglers. Very fun in an unexpected way

Purple haze parachute #16. I have read about this pattern but have never used one. Has anyone fished this pattern?
I fished it in the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area. The cutties seemed to like it.

Is that the one that got your finger?
No, this is a different one that I tied this evening. Gotta get back on the horse, right? This one is the same color scheme as the one that bit me. With all that white saddle hackle and white marabou on the rear hook it had a real authentic look of a true wounded baitfish until I got that whole situation managed! 😉

I've added some unexpected red to a number of flies. I think every time it was a B10S
