Can you please post instructions on tying that fly?
I don't have it, but Atlantic bait and tackle has the recipe🙂↕️😉Can you please post instructions on tying that fly?
I’m assuming you went for striper and not flounder. Since SB and dogfish chase the same bait this report highlights the bait was there so the SB should have been there as well. Dogfish are a pain in the neck because they are way more aggressive so getting through them is usually the problem. There should have been a bass or two caught. Did anybody catch a bass that you saw?Took a run up north yesterday , nothing but dog fish and one lost "soul " in the wash . The hook was crowded as there were some pods that ran past with bigger fish the previous day ... story of my life had lots of fun though .

That particular species is a Windowpane Flounder, a left-eyed species of flounder which in my view is extra cool looking because of the partial translucency and spots, and because it’s body shape is round rather than oval, which is much more noticeable when they are in their natural positionThey are such a cool looking fish .
AKA "Sundial" in anglers speak? Not unusual to catch them on a fly at the NJ shore this time of year. They hang out right in the wash. That particular species is a Windowpane Flounder, a left-eyed species of flounder which in my view is extra cool looking because of the partial translucency and spots, and because it’s body shape is round rather than oval, which is much more noticeable when they are in their natural position
