And corporate, you can't forget the most important part! 😉

The odd thing about Eastern fly shops is that my brother who has lived in CO for 40 years really likes Precision Fly Shop in Mt. Holly Springs. He visits them twice a year when he comes East and orders stuff from them all year long that he could easily pick up locally, if the CO shops stocked it.

Locally, the only fly shop that isn't overly yuppified is TCO. Good guys working there too.

Theres a fly shop back home on the farmington river in ct where i grew up it got yuppified too.. was just there last weekend and wasnt like it used to be. Felt out of place fishing alongside other anglers wearin hip waders and a vest. But they kept looking over at me while i released yet another trout.. while tgey were beating the water to a froth with there 1000 dollar rods n expensive reels. I loved it lol lol

Nearly 30 years ago I was the cops reporter at The Patriot. Spent a lot of time in Hall Manor, that part of the city, and DCP, and not once did it ever occur to me that that creek would hold browns. Even covered flooding on it farther upstream in Paxtang…

A solid strategy. I spent most of my career covering murders and mayhem, and I’m pretty comfortable in rougher neighborhoods. I totally would have fished it, but didn’t find out it held fish until I was long gone from central PA. Still kind of want to, just for old time’s sake, but if I’m gonna drive 7 hours for fish, it ain’t gonna be to Hall Manor…🤣
