What are everyone's top producers for brookies?

I suppose we could organize them into the usual categories, or just list them out.

For me:

Royal Coachman (Dry), Yellow Humpy (Dry), Wulff(s) (Dry), Parachute Adams (Dry), Partridge & Orange Beadhead (Wet), Prince (Nymph)

Beadhead Prince Nymph
EWC

If those don't work for me (which is 1% of the time):

Humpy
Purple & Snipe

This explains why my designated small stream brookie gear bag only contains a one single small fly box.

Gray Double Wing, Mutated Goofus Bug (oversized red Humpy with lots of deer hair and way oversized hackle)House and Lot, Pink worm, Royal Wulff, small yellow Marabou streamer

Cigarette Butt

A size 14 caddis tied with either Antron or CDC wing. Visibility is the key. In reality the best fly choice is subjective rather than objective. If you have confidence in your chosen fly it will work. The brookies don’t care!

1. Hair wing caddis (all purpose)
2. Foam beetle for summer when they want the “plop”
3. Walt’s worm as generic dropper
4. Heavy micro jig streamer for deep pools
5. Stonefly nymph with legs

Honorable mention: small mouse pattern. Rare use case for brookie fishing, but doesn’t get much more fun that that.
