This is a picture of Maurice on Muddy Creek in June of like a hundred years ago. We had been fishing downstream for most of the day and came back through a small rainstorm in the afternoon. The humidity was so high still, foggy conditions rolled in across the stream. Some nice sunlight streamed through the trees to make a cool shot.
New Yakima Amish Compliant Buggy rack - $1999.99 available at fine retailersEncountered 2 young Amish fellas on French Creek this summer. They had lashed large plastic containers to each side to stabilize the canoe. Great idea! This was at the takeout. We had wondered how they got the canoe to and from the creek.
PS I’m really enjoying all these streamside pix. Great idea for a thread!
Well said! We are a “Golden” house too (2nd time). I cherish our morning walks, ball throwing in the yard and all the other play too.I’ve been blessed with trips to beautiful wilderness via all manner of travel- bush planes, drift boats, jet boats, kayaks, bikes , horses and backpacks with my feet.
Never dreamed I’d do those things to go fishing but if I think for longer than a minute my heart brings me to this.
My beloved Lil , my bestest buddy. Our favorite walk which again I’m blessed to have walked hundreds of times. Though I’ve fished the stream it’s my dog that makes it very special. I try to cherish each walk because there will come a day…oh that day of many tears but not today.
