4 anglers a day is an absolute joke.Looks like Allenberry already revised the appliction site. No mention of YBAC requirements. Now only 2 angler slots per time period. 6AM to 1PM and the other 2PM to 9PM. Total of 4 anglers per day.
I agree. Perhaps we need to organize some group kayak floats later in the Spring to disrupt the flow of commerce along the Yellow Breeches.4 anglers a day is an absolute joke.
Just tie a tow rope between them and we can float down like tubers.I agree. Perhaps we need to organize some group kayak floats later in the Spring to disrupt the flow of commerce along the Yellow Breeches.
I can bring 4 kayaks, but I only have 2 paddles. Some of y'all might have to thrash around with your hands and feet to get downstream, but that will only further the disruption.

Tim Murphy 🙂
I just received the following response from the YBAC regarding the Allenberry membership requirement:I might be reading this wrong but when I checked it out it looked like each person requesting a permit could only request 2 permits at a time. I don’t read it as limited to 2 total permits per time slot per day.
Per Allenberry’s website it still shows as needing to be a member of YBAC. Hopefully it gets taken off.
Also, I thought TCO was not participating in guiding?

4 anglers a day is an absolute joke.
Wording could be clearer, but I think it means two anglers per booking, as in you can book two permits at a time, and others can as well, but you can’t make a single booking for a whole group.4 anglers a day is an absolute joke.
Take them to court as the YBAC is a Co-op State nurserySo much for a free permit. Gotta pay to be a member of the YBAC, this you gotta pay for Allenberry.
YBAC said they weren’t stocking it, sounds like the made a deal with Allenberry to increase their membership. Anyone that stays at Allenberry to fly fish is going to have to join the YBAC
Seems like a dirty move by the YBAC and 2026 will be my last year as a member if that is true. My membership to YBAC goes to help the entire YB, not to stock fish for the high society types at Allenberry.
Time for the rubber hatch (yeah that’s me poundin’ a PBR)A couple of days ago I perused the Yellow Breeches Anglers (YBA) Facebook Page and based on the comments I read, many from members I couldn't believe the comments on here they were planning to collude with Allenberry.
Obviously, based on the most recent posts here my assumptions were correct. I also read this on their Facebook page which is an accurate statement:
Our club cannot stock private or restricted waters. We are part of the co-op unit of the fish and boat commission all fish must be stocked in public waters.I didn't see the YBA requirement on the Allenberry website but allow me to go on record as saying it was a dirtball underhanded move to dangle an unsolicited carrot in front of YBA members and THAT pi$$es me off more than restricting access.
This is a guess, but as I assume with 68 or so rooms, Allenberry HAS to hold back a certain amount of access for angling guests, hence the limited number of permits/slots available on their website, which I assume are for the schlubs... I assume "lodge" guests get their reservations when they reserve their stay.
In other words there will be more that 4 anglers a day on the section...
Spotting Tip - The sports wearing the Tilly hats, adorned with backpacks with two rod tubes attached are the Allenberry guests... 😉
Finally - With only ONE day before Opening Day, WTF is the PFBC waiting for to revise their stocking schedule and remove future Section 03 stockings from the list??
Judging from all of the contradictions, the YBAC thing, and how it all has been handled, I'm not sure Allenberry really knows what they are doing here. There is a lot of ambiguity and conflicting statements in those FAQ's and many make NO sense at all like how do you access the stream without accessing if FROM their property?
I guess that means you CAN'T step OUT of the creek if you don't have a permit and isn't the bottom of the stream their property too?? IF I am correct about the getting out of the stream thing, does mean a NON permit angler will have to wade in front of a permit holding angler??
They also STILL mention requiring membership in the Yellow Breeches Anglers (YBA) which could have NOTHING to do with YBA. But doesn't that make access even more restrictive?
