WW JAM 2026

Just a reminder the WW Jam is scheduled for Aug 21 - 23. The house is open as it has been the last few years. Attendance this year looks maybe a little spottier than in the past, but all are welcome. Camping is also available in the yard/grassy areas.

We usually do somewhat of a communal type of food situation. I will buy some meats and some sides, however, and if you're coming, please try to bring something to share. If the weather patterns don't change, this might not be happening this year. The river has been pretty high rather consistently the last couple of weeks.

Am I ok to bring my RV again and put it in the same spot?

Worst-case scenario, although the fishing isn't as good, fishing/flaoting the Raystown branch below the dam is an option. rarely is it unfishable. Anything under 600 cfs is good.
 
There is still time for the weather to change fingers crossed.

Is there a separate thread that discusses flies and gear?

I amagine gurglers,cat's whiskers , etc would cover it?

Like tequeelies,Mr wigglies,clousers and briminator?

I've caught decent bass there. You have to cover lots of water. There are lots of redbreasts. the gin clear water is the problem AND because its clean and warm the large number of tubers/floaters spooks the big ones. They are there. BUT it doesn't matter because the water on the big J will be good by August 21
 
So far it looks like we have these members as positive for attendance:
Linwood, Saltemose, Nymphingmaniac, Gamber, Nymph-Wristed, HopBack, Tim Murphy

The house is open for sleeping. There are three beds, a couch, and you can put air mattresses and cots on the floor. If anyone else is coming, please RSVP.

There is no other thread discussing gear that I'm aware of, but a 5 weight through a 9 weight would work, and gurglers, buggers, closures, crayfish patterns, etc all work well..

For the Juniata, I go by height gauge instead of cfs. At 5.5 feet in Lewistown, the river is over some of the lower lying areas of the island by my parents', but the entire thing shouldn't be under water. That's definitely higher than preferred for wading, though. The river and creeks have been dropping quickly, but the Juniata is still very muddy.

For wading, I like the gauge at 4.5 feet or less, and preferably 4 feet and under.

that's because water is rushing out of the raystown dam. Last check I made this afternoon the RTB is flowing at 1700 cfs. Its typically 2-300 cfs in the summer
 
Josh, put me down for a likely. Early Friday thru Sunday. I can bring a flank steak or two for the share.

Are you asking me if there are musky? Yes, there are. Most serious musky guys don't fish them in the summer heat though, but I won't chide you if you choose to do so. Yes, there is room for an A-Liner. There is a boat launch 3 miles down, so your jet boat could also be launched .
 
look at the maps. but, I'm still optimistic
