In this case, matching Red Truck Diesel 3/4 Hardy Marquis clone spooled up in their favorite colors of Orange and Green brand new 444 lines - rods are a matched pair of vintage (undisclosed 😬) high end graphite. I hope to teach them in a few years - and gift the setups to them at the right time

They will love them , but your time spent with them will be the best gift of all. I lost 3 of my 4 grandparents before I was born. Don't get annoyed when you take them to farm pond stocked with trout and they insisted on putting grass on the fly hook like a worm to try to catch the grass carp as the farmer cuts the grass around the pond . 🤣
