What Are You Tying Today? 2026

It’s pretty neat honestly. That stiff middle section is probably gonna cast like a knuckleball. Might grab some weeds and suck to get moss off of it. Maybe some sort of fibers lightly covered in soft rubber/ silicone like the old Jailbait Fly’s head might give it a little more middle wiggle. I can see you put a lot of effort into these. Sometimes feedback on here isn’t what you expect. It’s probably a little uncool with the purists. Don’t sweat it. Get weird man.

I tried it out lastnight st the lake for an hour, no fish, but it cast fine, doesn't collect weeds more than any other fly without weed guard. Need the stiffer middle section to keep it from collapsing in on itself. I expected negative feedback from paflyfish, but even worse, I got zero feedback. If this things catches bass half as good as a real senko I would consider it a success

Down Time

Every now and then its time to put the tying of flies on hold for awhile and let other more important priorities take its place.

I continue to have vision problems that dont seem to get better (even after eye surgery) that needs my utmost attention. Wearing an eye patch when tying is not fun.

I also have a major home renovation that will begin today with an hvac contractor replacing my entire furnace and central air conditioner. $$$$$ big bucks!

But don't dispair, I'll be back in no time.

Thank you for understanding.
