My attempt at the Clouser Swimming Nymph on a size 6 4xl. Think I shoulda went with a lighter hackle, but hopefully the smallies won’t notice.
I really like the looks of that extended body coffin fly.Throwing a few more together last minute before I head out in the morning. Now there's definitely no chance I actually see drakes.

That’s an awesome looking fly. It’s buggy and just looks like something you’d like to fish. One of my all time favorite carp bugs. All natural fur and feathers. Brown pheasant marabou tail, split thread mink fur body and a soft hackle crow covert feather for the collar. Along with medium black bead chain eyes to get it down into the silt and flip it hook point up. Tied on a size 6 2XH wet fly hook.

Or maybe the hit of acid was too strong???? LOLOLOL.Although they work well in my home waters, when I start tying the Purple Haze, it usually means that I'm getting ready for a Western trip.
