a slight modification on this version. tail is tied on last facing backwards instead of tied on first facing forward requiring it to have fold back over on the retrieve. a little sloppier/larger head this way, but i think it looks better. this is on a #4 mustad 94831

What did you tie those with?
The green is Arctic fox and the white is just Polar Fiber craft fur. That Arctic fox really flows in the water.

Miss fishing with you guys, John, Deetz, Tom , haven’t been asked back to project healing waters and the one fly competition Skip put on, oh ya, nice tying😎
Sure do miss fishing with you gents. Last One Fly we had Jerry/DT and I won it.
Shame PHW has gone the way of the lawyers. After Skip's passing it all went to he11. New rules exclude anyone not participating on a regular basis. I fought with them for years to let the 8-10 guys that used to guide the vets come back, they made the program what it was. No go. If you even came to the Steelhead Slam now you would be asked to leave. A real shame they dumped all the men that made that program possible. I have been with the program for 14 years and I was not allowed to carry a rod for the Slam this year, all I could was net fish and help. They even said John NIckle our Legacy Vet and the whole reason the program was started could not attend. Tom Herr was allowed to come as a paid guide along with Blood, Tao, and some of the other big names..

Some jigged hare's ears with variants. Tried going heavy with lead wraps, copper back, and ice dub for a thorax to stand out and getting down in higher water.

Not to change the topic, but I share a very similar experience with PHW. As someone who isn’t a vet, but was just there as a volunteer to help at meetings and outings. The corporate side quickly pushed us out.

pretty much got these dialed in - working on filling the box with different sizes and colors.
i swam one in a pyrex pan to see how they swam, it looked really awesome!!
