Shadow Boxes

With @nfrechet handing out some beautiful flies I was wondering how to make my own shadow box to put them in.

Any recommendations on materials and methods would be greatly appreciated. Bonus points for photos of your handiwork!

This has been gathering dust for a bit. Need to get it hung up again. I randomly collected somebody’s family vintage rod and reel. I got a map while we were planning the move to PA and dropped a bunch of pins on it where I loved fishing in MI and where I wanted to fish in PA. I just took it to a frame shop and the boxes it in for me. It’s a reminder of the wayward fishing behaviors of my earlier days haha.
