Southeast PA has been in a drought for over a year now. We are still in a drought even after this rain. It isn't a "seasonal drought". If we didn't get much rain and we headed into summer as dry as we were there would have been a lot more fires. As I said, I had one very close to where I live and the drought got worse since.
Tornadoes are seasonal. They happen every year and are not the product of too much rain. Poor example.
I never would wish destruction on anything or anyone.
And your comments about the rain ( which have been many) are all about you and the hatches you are missing. It was never about flooding and destruction. I wouldn't have said anything if you were worried about that type of thing. That is understandable.
The waters of PA and the fish of PA have had some low water to deal with the last couple years. This rain makes them happy too.
One more thing I do want to add here, then I'll be done with it too
Again, this is a fly fishing site
And there is nothing wrong with wishing for good conditions during the peak of the hatching activity for the year IMO
I take exception to your statement that its all about it ME, and my dry fly preference
I've got to know and fish with many of the good fishermen on this site over the years
And the majority of them also want to fish dry flies to rising trout.
I've got a nice circle of friends on here, that I share information with.
And likewise, them with me.
Lots of communication going on behind the scenes, trying to help each other to find the best fishing conditions that we all enjoy
And I think that is what Dave intended to do when he started this site.
