They stocked Deer Creek today, went for my nighttime walk and was going to do some trout spotting,at Cambell rd DHALO area the creek was completely filled with raw sewage, someone is rerouting the sewer about a mile above this for a development,I drove up and the water is clear,it's clear at 910 bridge by Martin rd so the problem is below that behind the self storage buildings or behind Narcisy winery, went home and called the sewer emergency number, the guy wasn't to thrilled to hear what I had to offer him but he knows me and my history installing sewers for a living,he's going down to investigate,PS IF ANY FISH LIVE I WOULDN'T EAT THEM,

Who should you call if you see raw sewage flowing into a stream?

Is the "sewage emergency number" a local or state-wide thing?

It's so sad to see what has happened to both Pine creek and Deer creek over the years in the area. I'm surprised any trout could survive in either waterway for any length of time.

that one stream in WV has both wild browns and raw sewage. I’m not excusing the improper handling of the wastewater- that should be fixed - just pointing out that it doesn’t necessarily mean fish can not survive. (Or thrive)

So you mean untreated sedimentation from stormwater runoff at a construction site, or is this actual human waste from a sanitary sewer?

problem is that stream is now facing fish kills from other crap flowing into it.

The local sewer authority went out last night, not there problem, there is a development going on in front of Bontool on route 910, apparently they started working at night and are running a 12 inch pump trying to dry up a spring (lol) and the waste water is going straight into Deer Creek, this morning the water was slightly better and saw 1 guy fishing,I didn't talk to him as I wanted to get to the sewer authority, however at 3:15 the water was worse and nobody fishing,I called DEP , which I'm sure was already notified and did a report, waiting on them to call back tomorrow, now the contractor may have a discharge permit I don't know yet but I'm sure if they stocked yesterday they'll be pissed,if the water was dirty and they didn't stock then everybody that needs notified was ,I just don't know yet ,here's what it looked like at 3:15 today

I googled DEER CREEK Drainage BASIN authority and got an emergency contact number and called and he answered and went out

But according to the sewer authority they are using a 12 inch diesel pump and can't keep up with the ground water,
