Heading up to Penns for next few days. We are staying at our friends cabin in Ingleby. Penns looks to be flowing well and should get some rain over night. Has anyone fished Penns recently? Anyone have some thoughts on how Penns made out thgis summer. I know it was a bit rough early with its share of 90 degree days, but it got some decent rains at the right time. This may be only the 2nd time on Penns in September in 40 years. The last time it was pretty bad but that was probably 25 years ago after a really bad drought year. I'm guessing terrestrials might be best. Any thoughts on hatches?
Also, it may be raining on the way in and our friend is hosting some boy scouts until the afternoon. So we were leaving early and stopping somewhere along the way. Any thoughts on hitting any small streams on the way. I would love to hit the Kish or Honey on the way in, but we don't pass them going to Ingleby. Is there any open water left on Elk? Any brookie stream on the way in? Thanks in advance!
PS: Riverwhy (my brother Jay) became a grandpa yesterday! He can only join us Tuesday. He's excused this time!
