One of sport's little ironies

I don't know why the thread about eliminating the deputies programs was closed, and I hope this doesn't offend the moderators.

But, in one of sport's little ironies, this month's Pennsylvania Game News recognizes the regional deputies of the year in each region, noting the importance of the deputies program to the game commission. It seems ironic that the pgc would praise the deputies at the time the commission is eliminating the program. Hard to figure.

Unless that is their way of showing resistance to an action and a decision that they don't agree with and were forced to do..... You know, kind of like a "take that!"
