A buddy & I are going to do a 4-5 day getaway (from the SOs) & take his 4 bird dogs & chase some stocked pheasants in a few weeks & possibly do some trout fishing. He's not a big fisherman but I enjoy quiet semi-smaller mountain streams/runs that snake back into the mountains or remote areas, not big rivers. Thinking the south central or south west part of the state. 1st question - is this a bad time of year to fish for trout (are they more stressed b/c low water levels/spawning now?) & 2nd question - could anyone recommend some semi-remote streams/runs to fish in? Not looking to keep any fish since I'm not big on eating trout, just relax & wet a line for an hour or so after bird hunting. I normally fish in the north central part of PA but he's looking to run the heck out of his Setters & there are a lot more SGLs in the SC & SW part of the state plus I figured a change of scenery might be a good thing 🙂 Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post a spot on here & if anyone wants to tag along chasing some pheasants we'd be glad to have ya!

& forgot to mention that my buddy only has a 7' heavy action spinning rod for bass so we'll prob pick him up a light action 5' spinning rod...
