ISO creative solution for my Confluence pack

I really like this WJ confluence pack, it’s so well thought out and practical. The only issue is when I load up the back pack and hang a net off of it, the front pack really wants to ride up. I’ve tried adjusting the straps every which way to fix it, but it seems the only way to avoid this happening to me would be to rig up some kind of cross-strap/buckle/snap system on the shoulder straps to pull them closer together as crudely shown in the photo below. Any ideas on how you would go about this?

I have one of these. Cant put too much in the back or it does this. Are you using a heavy wood net? Maybe a lighter net could be the solution. I dont put much in the back of mine other than a box of streamers and a granola bar and some TP. I havent used mine in years, I found a vest more my style (I like to carry too much stuff).

I’m using a standard size wooden frame net, and have been thinking about switching to an aluminum frame net because of this. Also considered getting a net holster for my wading belt, but I do like how high the net sits off the water when I have it hanging off of the pack.

Just holding the two shoulder straps closer together with my fingers and feeling that the front won’t budge when I pull down on the back is making me want to try to rig some kind of strap

Without seeing the pack, my solution would be to attach some straps to the front of the pack and attach those straps to my belt or wader belt.

Sort of like hip boot straps...

Adding tension to the shoulder straps will get uncomfortable after awhile.
