Another eBay purchase - a little elbow grease with a Q-tip and isopropyl to remove the oxidized grease on all the moving parts, flip the drag ring and line guard for left hand retrieve, a tiny drop of mineral oil in the clicker spring assemblies (both spools too), rewind the backing and clean fly line on the filled spool, and a final lube with synthetic grease, and wipe down with an old silicon gun rag - a serviceable old war horse made in USA (except for the Shakespeare extra spool) for less than $60 - now to fill the empty spool with some backing and a DT6F line and install it on an uplocking seated Fenwick FF856 - battle ready!
