Hello everyone,

Thanks for having me here! My name is Cory. I am currently living in Montrose, CO but would love to learn more about the iconic state of PA fly fishing! I have been fly fishing my whole life. I buy and sell a lot of gear (have to try every rod and reel on the market), I build custom fly rods under the name "Last Dollar Rodsmiths", and have just started getting into thing my own creative fly patterns. I look forward to getting to know more about PA, and hopefully get to fish there some day!

Welcome from Cumberland County PA! While in CO I have been fortunate enough to fish the Blue near Silverthorne, the Eagle, South Platte - Dream Stream section, Deckers, and Eleven mile canyon, Tarryall Creek, Arkansas near Buena Vista, and a few nameless tributaries, and beaver ponds I’d rather not disclose - I’d like to get back out there one more time before I punch out - pics of a wild Colorado Brown and a Wild Pennsylvania Brown … which is which?

PS: Cutts are my favorite trout!

There are endless great spots out here! I am on the Western Slope. In your photos, I'd guess the one on the right is the CO brown. Here's a pic of one I caught in a small drainage of the Arkansas earlier this summer!

Love Colorado. Running a trip out there this coming summer for my clients. Lucky for you, the Gunnison is at your back door. I have yet to fish it, but on my list for sure. I usually fish the Eagle, Ark, Blue, South Platte, Colorado.
