If you were to be cited and it went to a hearing, the magistrate/judge might tell you: ignorantia juris non excusat.Without signage at SGL access areas, how would a person who doesn't purchase a hunting license know of this rule?
Ignorantia sit beatitudo, until anyone who harasses a hunter must also wear orange. If you were to be cited and it went to a hearing, the magistrate/judge might tell you: ignorantia juris non excusat.
But only if he speaks Latin..
There are signs posted at the parking areas stating Game Land rules.Ignorantia sit beatitudo, until anyone who harasses a hunter must also wear orange.
I think it would suffice. This may work

Can you articulate why it is a bad idea to wear orange during hunting season? I've seen you post your dislike earlier on this thread but I am not sure I've seen your full rationale for that stance and I'm genuinely curious why you dislike reducing risk.Well, I'm not a fan of this rule, but I had my first run in with PGC while getting ready to fish today on a gamelands. I ended up having to pivot and I couldn't fish my brook trout stream because I forgot about having to have orange.
I dislike this rule for many reasons.
Because I am an avid hunter, and I spend many, many days hunting in PA throughout the year, and I have pretty much never once seen anyone hunting small game anywhere even remotely close to a stream that I would fish. If we are talking about rifle deer season, then hell yeah, stay out of the woods. Don't even fish. Fishing then is just plain stupid. But for the spring turkey season and for general seasons when small game is in, I see hardly any potential of being shot or injured while fishing by a hunter. There are just hardly any small game hunters out there anymore. I am not saying that wearing orange is a bad idea. It is a very smart idea to wear orange during any and all hunting seasons, but I think if the angler is willing to take the risk, which I perceive as extremely low, let them have at it. After all, how many fishermen have been shot by hunters in the last 100 years? And, it is only on game lands, which leaves all state forests out from under the ruling. Can you articulate why it is a bad idea to wear orange during hunting season?
