Is anyone using this fanny pack and have any input? I switched from a vest to a fanny pack a few years ago and really like using the pack. My only complaint is sliding the fanny pack around my waist to get gear. The belt and mobile pack makes me interested. Any input would be appreciated.

Had the waterdance for a long time and liked it. Tons of room.

Yes. I started using one this year when wearing hip waders (on shallow streams in lieu of chest waders). I store my phone, keys, etc instead of using my shorts/pants pockets and it’s large enough for fishing gear too. There’s a loop on one of the zippers that’s quite convenient to hold my rod when changing flies. I’m still using my vest or sling with the fanny pack. My use of a fanny pack probably isn’t answering your question, but it adds convenience when using hip waders.

I have the fishpond and use it on occasion. I like being able to slide the pack around without the belt moving, and the net holder is a nice touch. What I don’t like: it either doesn’t hold a lot or I carry too much stuff (probably the latter), and a lot of times I wind up in water more than waste deep. More times than not I use my Orvis sling pack, though the FP Fanny pack is nice for small streams and creeks

Just like tomgamber I have had much success using the Fishpond Waterdance Guide Pack

The weight distributed on your hips can help with shoulder & back pain from wearing a traditional heavy chest pack/vest

Some issues were that it was not waterproof, and you must keep the pack super tight around your waist, or it will drop over your hips. Almost like not wearing a belt with loose jeans

If I were planning a super-long day of fishing, Fishpond Waterdance Guide Pack would be my go-to pack

Just this summer, I upgraded to a waterproof waist pack
