Are there any wet-wading neoprene booties that keep your feet dry, so water isn't saturating skin?they make just a neoprene bootie that i would imagine would be better than socks.

Dear 3sip,I wet wade with crocs if I'm just out back or playing with the kids in the stream. If I am fishing for real I will wear my regular wading boots with neoprene socks. The great thing about wading in crocs is when you put your normal wading boots on you feel so secure and stable.

It may just be me then. When I have the unfortunate opportunity to fish in leaky waders, my soaked feet look and feel pretty nasty for the rest of the day. Leeches and microorganisms discourage me from wet-wading anyway.Dear 6xAdams,
Wet skin dries out in an hour or so. Secure footing with regular wading shoes might keep you from disappearing until the water bloats your body and makes it resurface.

Tim Murphy 🙂

Andy, based on your durability review I picked up a pair of these from Merrell. I think they will make a great boat shoe slash light wet wading. Appreciate your investigation!Wanted to post a follow up. After a year of abuse, the shoes look and feel as good as day one. Most wading sneakers / shoes I've had didn't make it more than 12 months. These are great and should make it 2-3 seasons easily.
I've been putting heavy use on a pair of these (in a much, much uglier colorway that I've shared elsewhere on this site but will preserve my dignity by not sharing again here) since spring, and they are holding up very well. I run mine with a pair of .5 mm neoprene NRS socks. I've never gotten a blister from hiking, wet or dry, and the Vibram has great grip wet wading.Andy, based on your durability review I picked up a pair of these from Merrell.
