Just letting the forum tiers know that I visited with Charlie Collins today and spent some time with him in his basement picking through bins full of amazing necks and saddles. Aside from moving a little slow on the steps, Charlie is doing well and seemed as active as ever -- he was sitting in his garage at his furnace filling jig head molds when I pulled up before 9 this morning.
I'm certain Charlie easily has well over 1,000 necks and saddles available: all grades of necks in grizzly, dun, barred dun, rusty dun, light ginger, and barred ginger . . . black and brown in 1's and 2's, and that's not counting about 8-10 14 gallon totes I didn't even look in.
If you've purchased from Charlie, you know he includes the saddle with the purchase of every Gr 1-2-3 neck. What I didn't realize is he didn't include the saddles with the commercial grade necks he sold in years past - those saddles are bagged/tagged and sorted. If you're looking for saddles of any color - those mentioned above plus cream and others, it's worth giving him a call.
