Cloudy water on Spring.

Planned on fishing Benner Spring area Tuesday but the water was cloudy. Moved down to below the paradise area and it was clear. Is there stream improvement work going on above Benner. If so how long will it continue.

I fished there last Wednesday and found same conditions as you. Guy in the fly shop said it was due to roadwork (on 26?). Landed a couple on beetles but not much going on, at least for me. Saw 1 other angler who said he got 1 fish that day.

With all the rapid development and expansion of state college, I have a bad feeling that spring is going to have more in common with valley creek than any of the central Pa limestoners in only a few short years.

Based on rock and logs stock piled off trout rd its safe to bet there is a habitat project under way between there and Benner.

they are replacing the bridge over rt 26 near houserville. I'm surprised it's generating so much mud though.

Fished Benner two weeks ago. Very disappointed in the "improvements". Was able to land one in the only "deep pool" left in that stretch. Water wasn't cloudy.
