Floated the Middle Yough from Confluence to Ohiopyle Friday. Mostly sunny day with water temps in the high 40s near Confluence early in the day and in the low 60s near Ohiopyle at the end of the day. Flow was about 1300 CFS, and the water was clear. We saw some Grannom caddis and a few Hendrickson's, but the fish were not active on the surface. Nymphing with caddis larvae produced 3 nice rainbows mid day ranging from 15 to 19 inches. We also picked up a smallmouth chucking streamers later in the day. Great to get out and enjoy the sunshine!
