Yellow Breeches access question....

Huh wonder why there were signs in barnitz then saying stocked trout water last time I was out there a year or two ago. They cut back all this stream side brush and it caused erosion on the park side of the bank and then I saw the signs go up. Weird

If by "Barnitz" you mean STUART Park @ Barnitz Mill, the reason you saw signs in that area is it's along Section 02 of the Yellow Breeches, not Section 01, the section I mentioned that is NOT stocked by the PFBC nor Yellow Breeches Angler's Club.

Section 02 is DOWNSTREAM of PA Route 233 to the mouth of the Run in Boiling Springs and it IS stocked by both the PFBC & Yellow Breeches Anglers Club.

Section 01 (the UNSTOCKED section) is UPSTREAM of PA Route 233 to the headwaters.

I think you are confusing PA Route 233 with PA Route 34...?

Above 233 as well in barnitz park too I believe. Then clubs stock all the way up through the hatchery stretch as well. Then a ton of private landowners above that as well from what I recall stumbling upon.

The hatchery is also in Section 02 and below Route 233.

In regards to stocking, I have no issues with stocking where suitable as long as it is done legally.

Ahhh yes I am

Neither of you should be able to
Yea its the e-mails, letters, and phone calls to the senate game and fish committee that never get sent sadly that prevents any real change. The small fraction of the general public active in this arena is under the impression contacting PFBC does…..something.

I assume a private landowner can dictate as such? There is a private landowner on Elk Creek in Erie that has the same stipulations. His signs say fly-fishing only, catch and release by courtesy of the landowner. I've heard some guys complain, but isn't is his land, his rules?
That’s how letort became fly only, catch and release: Fox and Marinaro posted it to that effect, essentially tuning it into a legendary destination.

You are dead on. Not saying anything is the same as sending a valentine that says I love the way it is.

You may not get everything you want, but when you speak up, your voice is heard. There aren’t two sides to every issue. It’s more like 25 sides, so striking any kind of balance is a challenge.

Stand up and be counted, or sit back and let it happen to you.
