I've done a lot of fly tying with foam, both bass flies and trout flies. Superglue "sits on my right hand" to use a Biblical phrase. By whatever chance of coincidence, I started with Loc-Tite gel with the side squeeze application. For whatever reason, I recently got the brush-on stuff, which has been much more commonly seen in fly tying instruction. I don't know if anyone else uses the gel, but I'm a tought learner; not a quick adopter. I have found the brush-on to be the much better, more adaptable choice. If this is news only to me, if I am being Captain Obvious, I apologize for wasting your time reading this. But if you, like me, use the gel super glue, may I suggest using the thin brush-on type.
