i arrived at the stream around 3 pm. really not much happening as in bug life. i managed 2 on a tan caddis emerger in the afternoon. fishing in the evening was tough. a few sulphers in the air but nothing really taking them. the stream was crowded with every hole and riffle had someone fishing it. at dusk, there were some sulpher spinners in the air but nothing really surfacing. as i was walking back to the truck around 8:30 or so, i stopped at the creek and noticed a rise. i decided what the heck and i made a cast. the first cast with a size 14 sulpher spinner yielded a nice 18 inch brown torut. within the next 5 minutes, i caught 2 more nice ones and missed another 3. i traveled 70 miles one way to get 10 minutes of good fishing. oh well, it was worth it.
