I went out to western maryland on monday morning and then fished half a day on tuesday. Monday the flows were 350 cfs which is pretty high, they dropped it on tuesday to about 180 cfs, which is a little more manageable. The water temps were a steady 39 degrees, the air temps made it into the low 40s in the middle of the day. There were no hatches to speak of. With a steady diet of midges, san juans and dead drifted buggers I was able to do pretty well. No small fish, no big fish just alot of fish in the 12-15 inch range. Needless to say finding slow moving water on the edges was the key. Where I was able to find that the fish were stacked up. Here are some pics.
