Although it's been obvious that few people today actually look up from the iphone and other virtual, man-fantasy created worlds of input, it must be considered that there will be a demand - at least in the future beyond the passing of the existing population - for the opportunity to be exposed to, learn from, and learn how to absorb, incorporate and express reality.
Aerial images have shown that vast thousands of acres everywhere have been converted from large tract intact properties that provide wilderness and sustainable wildlife into many, many acres of high density residential buildings (called houses).

Colonies of muskrats no longer exist. Many varieties of birds no longer exist.
Domestic-bred pets neutered are released within residential communities and the green lands surrounding them. They kill much of the wildlife, even when it's absolutely not necessary for the killing of wildlife because the roaming cats in the neighborhood and edges generally being fed at backdoor.
Point is, there is absolutely no need to provide more destruction of natural lands owned by the public by selling it off by auction.
The brief income to local/state government is in no way logical for the benefit of mankind.
