2.37" at my weather station SO FAR with more rain expected later today.
I've used that or something similar recently in the past, but I'm very skeptical as to how accurate it could be.I use the https://www.raindrop.farm/ app to get the amount of rain at my home, or just about anywhere you want, almost instantly.

I’m elated. The gardens look great; and the local fishing has been good; and the temps have been quite favorable for hiking and biking. When the creeks are high at this time f the year it’s a perfect time to shift to lake fly fishing for bluegill and crappie. And each time the Jordan comes down one has to be concerned that a couple of hot days will cook the goose, but with repeated storm events we get a few days of good fishing, the stream approaches moderately low conditions, and then a new storm comes along, adding flow and buffering the stream temp against a few days of hot weather if and when they occur..Wettest May to date at (Harrisburg) HIA. I'm sure that may true for many other measuring stations as well. Given recent dry conditions, I can't say I'm upset about this. The rain has been incremental enough to be very beneficial to the aquifers!

I have 2 friends that have a rain gauge at their house and live about 2 miles west of me. Most mornings for the past several months when it has rained the day before we’ve compared the rainfall in their rain gauge to what’s shown on that website.I've used that or something similar recently in the past, but I'm very skeptical as to how accurate it could be.
Really? With the polar vortex collapse, I read we were expecting a cooler summer in the northeast. This is from this week:FWIW I just read an article where NOAA is predicting an abnormally hot summer starting in June. Hoping that'll warm some of the mountain streams. Since they have good flows, combined with the upcoming heat, should be great conditions. Bring on the heat!
Just conveying something that was put out by NOAA. Most of next week is supposed to be in the 80's, with two days near 90F. Pretty warm, even for June.Really? With the polar vortex collapse, I read we were expecting a cooler summer in the northeast.
Well, with weather I guess we really have to just wait and see.
That be meAlong with all of the rain we've been getting, it seems like there have been a lot of windy days throughout the month of May as well. Someone mentioned a while back about there being more windy days than usual. I always found the wind to be very annoying.
