Precision Fly and Tackle Opening New Shop in Allison Park (Pittsburgh)

Literally work down the road from this spot. Stoked to see a brick and mortar that I can swing by to pick up stuff.

This place is in Mt Pleasant. I've always wanted to check it out but never have.

I purchase about half of my fly tying needs here, I think its a great shop. The owner does a great job of putting together tying classes and seminars.

Hot dang! As a Pittsburgher, this is fantastic news. I'm on Rt 8 a lot (hold back your jealousy), so this is absolutely perfect. I'll be one of the people @ahhofmeister notes will buy more than they can use. Just like I do at hardware stores and outdoor outfitters!

They should figure out how to partner with PWWTU to sell supplies before Bar Flies nights at Howard's.

I've visited the PA Fly Co over the past few years. It's on the way to my place in the Laurel Highlands. He seems like a nice enough fellow and I'm glad to support a small business owner.

Dear Nocktavius,

If that is a vote for zero fly shops other than in destination areas, then just say it.

Otherwise just, fill in the blanks, F---! 😉

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂

5.6 miles from me I'll stop, looks like it's across for the old Glenshaw glass co.

Allegheny angler under the Tarentum bridge dabbles in fly fishing, not strictly but the one guy who works there will tie you up anything, he's currently working on some streamers for me as I don't tie, just throwing that out there for those of us that don't tie
