If you have an hour to spare, take a listen to the following podcast where we discuss the harm caused by stocking hatchery over wild trout. Just think how many more miles of trout water could be created if the PFBC quit stocking over naturally reproducing wild trout populations and put those hatchery fish in marginal waters that would support temporary trout fisheries. Based on research conducted in PA, MT and beyond, we should expect wild trout populations to double in numbers and weight and we would add many miles of stocked trout waters too.
