Went and checked out some new spots by Ligonier Still dont really know what to throw but i am figuring it out. It was fun getting out there again today! Is this the right sort of thing to be throwing?
I’ve been consistently hooking into (maybe not always getting it to the net but hooking nonetheless) fish with a micro bugger jig fishing it on a swing, bouncing it off the bottom, or fishing it like a standard streamer lately. It’s been working well with this higher water we’ve had cause they’ll cut down deep pretty quick.View attachment 1641250230

Thank you for stating what should be obvious. My last three times out have been skunkings, once for trout and twice for smallmouth. Frustrating to not catch fish, but being on the water is still peaceful and a welcome chance to tune out the concerns of everyday life.Sometimes the water is cold and they just aren’t in the mood. A skunk is ok. Fun day without the fish really makes you appreciate the days they make an appearance. Also make you appreciate how good a bad day fishing actually is. Fish will start to bother your ventures into nature soon. As conditions change and warm, the fish will become more active. Any day staring at a creek imaging the possibility’s and potential is a day well spent.
