Fished the Millport Conservancy stretch between 6:45 and 9:00 this morning and had some success. Thankfully, the water level is up and a little cloudier thanks to the rain of the last few days. Using a BWO emerger, size 18, hooked and lost a huge holdover brown after he snapped me off. Tied on a scud and lost a nice sized rainbow in the same pool. Walked upstream to the deep pool just below 772. Landed three rainbows and two browns in the 10"-12" range (all on the scud) before I had to pack it in and head to the office.
Saw some beauties. Unfortunately, most of them saw me. There is a fish in the middle section of the Conservancy, about 200 - 300 yards upstream from the parking area, that I have spooked every time I've been there. Every time he takes off, he pushes off a wake like a canoe.
