Fished the Millport Conservancy stretch between 6:45 and 9:00 this morning and had some success. Thankfully, the water level is up and a little cloudier thanks to the rain of the last few days. Using a BWO emerger, size 18, hooked and lost a huge holdover brown after he snapped me off. Tied on a scud and lost a nice sized rainbow in the same pool. Walked upstream to the deep pool just below 772. Landed three rainbows and two browns in the 10"-12" range (all on the scud) before I had to pack it in and head to the office.

Saw some beauties. Unfortunately, most of them saw me. There is a fish in the middle section of the Conservancy, about 200 - 300 yards upstream from the parking area, that I have spooked every time I've been there. Every time he takes off, he pushes off a wake like a canoe.

I fished the open water on Lititz Run Sunday night (June 3rd). I caught more than 20 trout and hooked another 15 or so that spit the hook. I had a nice 16 inch rainbow hit twice, but I was unable to hook him. I also saw a nice brown and another larger rainbow. The water was low and clear but the rain was coming down. Every fish was hooked subsurface. I did see a few rises as well as a few small tan caddis and a larger (14) spotted caddis. Overall great fishing; however, many people were keeping their catch. Hopefully they'll leave a few in the stream.
