A few brookies, nothing more than 7-8" but when you hit them on a 3wt while tossing underneath a rhododendron it's an absolute trip. Like little hungry torpedoes.

What I do know about that stream, is it's exactly the type of stream I enjoy fishing. Given that you did catch some natives, although on the smaller size, I'd bet there are bigger ones in there.

Once I noticed the water color, I guessed- I think- in the right direction. When you mentioned Brookies, that took me a different direction. I think it’s definitely near your neck of the woods. I’ll guess that it’s in a park named after a smoking wood.

Although this is lacking in hemlock, the rocks do look mighty similar.
