Also check out fishflies if these large insects interest you. Anglers may find that at times they have been calling fishflies and their larvae by the name of dobson fly. They are similar, but fishflies have less formidable pincers on the adults and on the larvae. I think fishflies are more common than dobson flies in the waters that I surveyed over the years, but larvae of both make great baits. Both are in the family Coridalidae.
