Looks like we are all in for quite a hot week. Make sure to drink plenty of water if you are out and about finding some warm water fishes.
With the dew points in the mid to upper 70s, the humidity will be a factor too.

One of the reasons I live out here. It won't be cool but it's about 10°f cooler than 15 miles up the interstate in Cumberland.

Where do you get dew point forecasts? I can see it for the current conditions but have to calculate it from temperature and RH for future days.
I would much rather know the dew point than RH. Weather Underground is predicting dew points in the high 60's on the hottest days this week. If that is correct, it could be worse.
The heat wave gives you an opportunity to check water temperatures on streams and rivers with a thermometer to see for yourself how warm they get in the summer.
The water temperatures probably max out in late afternoon.
I've mostly done this on trout streams, but it's also interesting to take water temperatures on rivers.
You can also take water temperatures to see the thermal impact of dams/lakes. Take a water temperature just above where the water enters the lake and just below the outflow.

I won't get too preachy about giving the trout a break in the heat, beyond saying its a good idea to do so.
Even spring-fed limestoners will warm: some much less so, but only after days of mid-summer heat. Some will fish for trout very early in the day, in the hopes of stressing the fish, and themselves less.
Since getting back into it 3 yrs ago, I hit the pause button when this summer heat hits for 6-8 wks. Its a good time to weed/tend the garden, read a good book in the shade/porch, go swimming, hide in the basement building fly rods.

I use the weather app on my iPhone, it shows that in the daily/hourly conditions, switch to humidity and then hover over the chart.
Ditto for me, but instead of building fly rods, I find myself buying them. Two McFarlands and and an Orvis bamboo in the past two weeks. And also, throw in working on my pathetic golf game.

I have a McFarland blank I need to build out after I finish that 'Blue Xmas' rod, waiting in line. LOL
I went right past Mike's shop yesterday; almost stopped in, but held back! LOL
(Mike's a great guy, a true craftsman, salt of the earth dude)

When I picked up my rods from Mike, I spent about 2-2.5 hours with him and he showed me his shop and how a rod is birthed. Very informative and he was very generous with his time. Thoroughly enjoyed visiting with him. Reason for my visit was that he turned the cork grips to my sizing preference.

Air is noticeably 'thick' here today, on top of Laurel Mtn, near Ebensburg, PA north of you. Am on the back porch reading a book and enjoying a 'big boy' beverage. Highly recommended to all!

I apologize for posting info from a verrrrry inaccurate app. The “Heat Safety” app cannot math and is trash.
WetBulbCast (fast, free, no ads, open source) is much better, with hourly 24hr and 10-day forecast graphs and data tables.

Mike & I go back a way as I bought a bunch of glass rods from him when the bug first bit me, which was before he was rolling his own blanks. A couple are pretty custom including a 6'0" 2pc 3wt with a nickel silver ferrule and another with two different tips.
My 7'0" 3pc 4wt & 8'0" 3pc 5wt "smooth blank" Spruce Creek rods are among the nicest rods I ever cast in any material.
What Orvis bamboo did you acquire?
