WEDNESDAY
Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to 40 knot gales in the afternoon. Rain in the morning, then a chance of rain in the afternoon. Waves 2 feet or less building to 10 to 13 feet. Waves occasionally around 16 feet.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT
Southwest gales to 40 knots becoming west. Rain and snow in the evening, then snow overnight. Waves 10 to 15 feet building to 12 to 16 feet. Waves occasionally around 20 feet.

Gales of November have brought many Lake boats to the bottom over the last 150 years. One must remember the wave frequency is much different on the Great Lake than on the ocean.
Snow is on the way to NWPA and it has the locals shopping early.
Talk of the town I hope it is not like last year. Most of the interstate onramps have gates to limit egress during weather Emergencies.
Be safe and get your snow/studs tires on.
 
They are saying the water level in the western Lake Erie basin could drop 5-6 feet with these winds. That's crazy.

Southwest gales to 40 knots becoming west. Snow, a slight chance of rain and thunderstorms. Waves 10 to 15 feet building to 12 to 16 feet. Waves occasionally around 20 feet.

THURSDAY
West gales to 40 knots. Snow with rain likely in the morning, then snow in the afternoon. Waves 11 to 16 feet. Waves occasionally around 20 feet.

THURSDAY NIGHT

We got out there b4 high winds took over, however, I did a self baptism, not good. Fishing was challenging this trip, but got plenty of exercise trying to get into them

White marabou jig 1/64 oz head under a float twitch once in awhile. Take will be slow lift rod as they hook themselves pretty much this method....fish will do a death roll and come in lethargic....if you ever hook a monster steel with these cold conditions on elk this will be to your advantage with the cold water
 
I’m considering a run up to the tribs later this week. Is there a bunch of snow left to melt? Will it likely blow out the streams? Make them colder than present? Any thoughts?
Plan B is to fish a DHALO closer to home.
Plan C is to just join in on the winter conversations of Wawa vs Sheetz, Cooper cheese, pork roll etc. lol
 
Well, conditions never presented themselves so I stayed home this past week.
For those of you like me who relied on uncle John’s webcams, both Tudors and Poor Richard’s have been providing video updates of Elk and Walnut every few days or so on Facebook.
 
I never made to Erie this season, hopefully I can catch a 20+ brownie to scratch that big fish itch next stop Clarion river as soon as our extended Doe season is over
