We covered this to death, but the stretch from the high bridge to the Cherry Lane bridge is posted up real good now. If that is still listed as stocked water, it would not be the PFBC stocking it. TU used to float stock it/tube stock it. You can fish the lower boundary of the preserve to the upper boundary. You can also fish the tiny piece in the Price Preserve, but don't tread on the club's property at the upper boundary. Also, wait until the water is lot warmer 😉

I wanna know what is so wonderful about this creek? Is it the history of the “who’s who” of famous names? Blizzard hatches? Scenic splendor? Outstanding fishing for wild/holdover/stocked trout? The only good stream in the area? I’ve driven 22 hours to fish Colorado - I’d certainly be willing to drive 2 hours to save the trouble - enlighten me please?

Is the “high bridge” the 5th Street (191) Bridge just above Pinebrook Park?
If so, I don’t know what gives with the postings, land ownership and where exactly the postings are; but the upper limit of Section 02 was originally further upstream at the bridge at Cherry Lane Road.
Beginning in 2020, the upper limit was moved down approximately one mile to .57 miles UPSTREAM of the 5th Street (191) Bridge so from that point DOWNSTREAM, the Brodhead is stocked by the PFBC.
I don’t know if this section limit change was because of the posting, but I seem to recall 2020 was about the time people started complaining that area was posted.
Are the postings you are referring to BETWEEN the 5th Street (191) Bridge and a point .57 miles upstream of that bridge or are they MORE than .57 miles ABOVE the 5th Street Bridge?
The area I am referring to is marked in red:
If there are signs in this area, I would call Regional Law Enforcement and tell them the section limits need to be revised again. If they are ABOVE there, that is probably why the section limits were revised.

Oiu, bon homme. The owner is on the other side and owns up to the railroad right of way on the 191 side. I don't believe it has not been litigated, but it's been discussed quite a bit, and I am told that Brodhead TU even spoke to dude, who is from NY. There are even new signs from the RR intended to keep the bridge divers out of the Cherry Lane area too.
I also see more NY plates parking at the bar. Oh, the irony that they use parking on the once public side to access the posted crick. I guess it's too steep for them.....

Sorry, reading is fundamental. Yes, I have seen posted signs down that far. To your point, I am also not sure of the legality of those lower postings.

According to the Monroe County Parcel map, there are 5 parcels from the 5th Street bridge upstream to VERY close to the upper limit of Section 02 or maybe exactly, I just didn't check.
Those property owners are:
FRANCONIA MENNONITE CAMP ASSOCIATION INC (Parcels 1, 2, 3 & 5)
P P & L CO (Parcel 4)
The NEXT 2 upstream parcels are owned by:
F&PV LLC
Is this F&PV LLC property the one who posts??
If so, I have a feeling there are some signs too far down. I'd call the WCO for clarification and to get the situation straightened out.

I'd do some due diligence and make sure any postings are BELOW .57 miles above the 5th Street Bridge before I went ballistic....

Using the tools on the Monroe County Parcel map, IF the person posting is F&PV LLC, their property begins 1922.41 feet upstream of the N. 5th Street Bridge.
1922.41 feet is .364 of a mile upstream NOT .57 miles upstream like is mentioned in the Summary Booklet and the PFBC Trout Stocking Schedule.

I'm guessing if you're from the area it's likely one of the more accessible streams, particularly in town. Outside of that, perhaps it's the "historical" aspect of the creek and larger fish? As mentioned previously, it can be a tough stream to wade with its greased bowling balls. Take a look at the day OTBD had there a few years back:
