Going to start making my own. Any good tables out. See a lot of DIY. Tips tricks any info you got. Looking to make them as long as I can.
Yeah, that's how I have mine set up. Drill bit attachment allows for easier/faster spinning.Buy if it’s cheap enough or build. Looks like can just do with a drill.

I need to get a spring like you have! Very nice. Here is my homemade brush machine. No way would I buy one when it’s such a simple project.

Made with what I had laying around. I may have bought the spring, can’t remember. Very simple project that will take a leisurely hour. I have an old sewing machine motor with a foot pedal I was going to install but after using the hand wheel I doubt there is any real time saving advantage. I find no reason to motorize since it takes less than a minute, maybe even less than 30 seconds, to turn a hand wheel. I use it to twist brushes but also to twist wire together for my twisted nymph bodies.

One think to keep in mind is if you build one to make super long brushes you will have to turn both sides of brush with two opposing wheels, or two motors, otherwise the single turning end of the brush will tighten and break before the far end twists tight.
34 GaugeWhat wire are you guys using.
Pretty sure its stainless steel for the metal.I guess it's time to make one. I have more than enough woodworking tools.
What type of 34 gauge wire? Is it stainless or some other alloy?
What are some of your favorite materials to spin into brushes?
