“Did you have fun?”

I know of about a half dozen places on the Letort between Foxcrest Drive and the UNT we used to call the "Left Branch" (coming from the former cress farms) where I could wade in a bit and at least two where I could cross.

Most of the wade in spots were man-made (by the "Letort Regulars") who placed large flat rocks on the stream bottom. At one time they were marked, albeit in a way that you had to know.

The crossing locations were natural. One I saw someone using many, many years ago and the other I discovered by accident while fishing.

There are also two spots where IF you can get to them unscathed, you can wade a short distance. HOWEVER, save for one of the wading spots, I RARELY attempted to wade or cross the Letort because IF you miss-step....

That being said, I love the place and know the mud intimately so having fun only requires being there or any other place I like to fish.
